Tito Bottitta

Tito co-founded Upstatement in 2008 to tell new kinds of stories in digital spaces. As Upstatement’s Chief Product Officer he oversees the Design, Engineering, Project and Product Management teams, ensuring strategic outcomes through a high-quality process. Tito works with leaders across Upstatement to build a values-led culture and create an environment where people can do the best work of their careers.

Tito works closely with clients to develop valuable digital strategies and conceive new products that users love, including a social e-reader that’s challenging Kindle and an app that activates volunteers in the fight to end gun violence. His work with organizations such as Bloomberg, Everytown, Tito’s Vodka, PBS NewsHour, and ESPN have won top honors for craft and creativity.

Before founding Upstatement, Tito worked at The New York Times, The Hartford Courant and The Boston Globe, where he helped launch new editorial products and oversaw the digital design operations. When he’s not designing or coding something, you might find him on a basketball court, behind his home bar, or traveling to weird places. Tito studied journalism and technology at Syracuse University, and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his wife.
