We are pleased to announce that Farah Ramzan Golant has been appointed the inaugural CEO of kyu EMEA. She will report to CEO Michael Birkin and will be based in London, effective October 1st, 2018.
In this new role, Ramzan Golant will drive kyu’s international expansion plans, building a European hub for the kyu Collective, with a specific remit to look for new investment and strategic acquisition opportunities. She will also work to support the international expansion ambitions of member companies as well as developing the thriving business in the Middle East.
Ramzan Golant’s extensive leadership experience, forged over many years in both the global creative industries and in media for social impact, make her the perfect fit for kyu.

Farah joins kyu from her previous role as CEO of Girl Effect, established by the Nike Foundation to leverage the unique potential of adolescent girls to disrupt poverty in challenging environments. Farah successfully managed the transition to an independent creative non-profit, building innovative youth brands in frontier markets and mobile platforms at scale that empower girls to change their lives. Under her leadership Girl Effect reached, engaged, and positively impacted over 53 million people across the global south.
Previously she served as CEO of All3Media, the UK’s biggest independent television production group making award-winning content for Channel 4 and the BBC as well as establishing a highly successful US studio in LA.
Ramzan Golant is well known also for her tenure at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, where she rose through the ranks to become Chief Executive in 2005 and joined the BBDO worldwide board in 2007.
She served on the British Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Group from 2013 to 2015 and has served as a Business Ambassador for the Creative Industries of Britain. She sits on the board of Sadler’s Wells Dance Company and is a Director of the Board of The ALDO Group (headquartered in Canada).
In 2011, she was awarded a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) and was named Business Woman of the Year in 2010 Asian Women of Achievement Awards.
